in continuation of Sir William Peel's despatch
No.232 of 10th April, 1935, I have the honour to forward herewith a Report by Mr. G. White, Principal of the Junior Technical School (Sessional Paper No.6 of 1934) in which full details of the scheme to provide a system of technical
education in Hong Kong will be found. This Report has been considered by the Board of Education and received its general approval. Copies of this Sessional Paper were forwarded to the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies by the Colonial Secretary under cover of his letter No.30/395/1935 dated 18th
January, 1935.

a certain amount of site-preparation in the building of the
new Trade School and to reduce the size of the building itself. The Public Works Department revised estimate for the work as thus altered is $222,000, including the cost of various furnishings (steel work, doors, windows, etc.). It was further decided to ask the Building Contractors Association to tender
for the building of the School alone, apart from the cost of
the various furnishings, and a tender of $136,500 has now been
received from the Association and accepted by the Government.
The separate provision by the Public Works Department of
furniture, steel work, doors, windows and various services is
estimated at $60,000, which together with the amount of the
Association's tender, gives a total estimate of $196,500 for
